Winter Coats: Under $500

The winter coat is one of those items that doesn’t get a lot of attention in the purchasing process, despite being a relatively big ticket item.  Unfortunately, it’s often an afterthought for most guys – based on both anecdotal evidence as well as our own perceptions in the office and on the street.

At first there may not seem to be many options, but look a little more closely, and you’ll find a lot of room to differentiate yourself in your outwear choices.  Single vs. double breasted; black, brown, charcoal, gray, tan, beige; flannel, camel hair, wool, cashmere – the options are bountiful.

So, as much as we’d all love the classic Mackintosh (below, for $900), we’re keeping this list to coats under $500.
