The Club Collar – Almost Here
The club collar never seems to make more than a token appearance every so often in a shirt collection. Over the years you might spot a few in the collections of some of the more conservative and classic lines out there like Brooks Brothers and J. Press. More recently, however, they’ve begun popping up in the collections of more contemporary designers (or maybe we just started paying better attention; correct us if we’re wrong).
Are they slowly catching on? We hope so. It seems that Our Legacy was doing some last year, and then over last summer we thought it was officially going mainstream when it appeared on The Times Style Mag and they deemed Patrik Ervell the King of Clubs.
But… despite some love in the blogosphere (eg, here, here, and lots more recently from Sart Inc here and here) it seems like it’s the same few designers making use of them. Here’s where we’ve decided to step in. Biased Cut will soon be offering a club collar option to select (and maybe even all) shirts. It’s just too great of a touch to ignore.
Stay tuned, but until then, enjoy some samples of what’s out there today…
