About
We started this blog, well before our online store, as an exploration of style. We understand the simple joy many men get by expressing themselves through individual style. But we also understand most of the items introduced in fashion magazines and blogs are often out of the young professional’s budget. So we wanted our blog to serve as a guide for readers to gain access to the most stylish undervalued goods on the market. An item is only a good buy if the value per dollar spent is justified.
After the launch of our shirt collection on biasedcut.com, we’ve incorporated some background into our shirt design, tailoring, and retailing process. It’s also a forum to interact with us – fabric recommendations, shirt feedback, styles questions, etc.
A brief background of the founding team:
Aside from our tailor, Jonathan is the resident expert when it comes to custom made clothing. With an unusually tall and slender frame, he’s enjoyed the benefits of tailored clothing since an early age. And with a superior eye for quality, he oversees every last detail of our designs. Jonathan was born in Taiwan, grew up in the US, and now lives in Hong Kong.
Annie is our design expert, coming from experiences as a department store buyer in NYC, at the Hong Kong offices of a major menswear label, and studying at FIT in New York. Annie has always had a passion for menswear, and provides the unique female perspective. Annie grew up in the US and spent time in NYC before relocating to Hong Kong.
Eric may not have the specific expertise as Annie and Jon, but he brings the ever-important customer’s perspective – guys that know what they like, but don’t want the hassle of actually shopping for it. He was a late convert to tailored shirts, but now can’t wear anything else. He provides input into the more practical aspects of the design. Eric hails from Michigan and now lives in NYC.
Greetings. Do you know where I can purchase the SIWA “paper” bags here in the US and/or online? I went to the Japanese site, but did not fine e-commerce.
Thanks!
Jerry
Unfortunately we haven’t seen it anywhere in the States, but after some poking around, it does look like the original link we provided has an ecommerce shop. The problem is, it’s all in Japanese. And tragically, Japanese speakers we are not. Perhaps you have a Japanese friend that can help you out?
Best of luck in your search…

Hello. I just cam across your website and wanted to introduce our company. We’ve been manufacturing neckties in New York City since 1957, and recently started our own line. Our goal is to offer the highest quality products at an affordable price, by only selling directly to customers. If you ever are interested in running any sort of promotion, we’d love to get involved.
